Stop the glorification of busy

Until recently I had a HUGE problem with this. My father abusively drilled into me that if you weren't crazy busy all of the time and working 50+ hours a week you were lazy and not worth anything. Of course, I knew this to be crap but deep down what I knew didn't matter. So, I struggle with the joy of being home, benefitting my family and scaling back on the business that was all-consuming for over 2 years. Here are some quotes that helps to keep me joyful and aligned: "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you imagined." -- Henry David Thoreau "The standard of success in life isn't the things. It isn't the money or the stuff -- it is absolutely the amount of joy you feel." -- Abraham Hicks
