You would think that with winter things would slow down.. not at the Patchoulimoon Holistic Health Centre. We're busier than ever!!
Along with our Yoga classes we are happy to announce a new instructor to the PHHCentre. Alexandria Barker has over 25 years experience in the fitness world. If you like belly dancing and the movie "Burlesque" you'll LOVE 'Diva Dance'! Exercise your right to be FABULOUS, increase self confidence and feel sexy. The fitness class with sass... the Diva Dance! See below for class day/time.
Something else that's in 'full swing' at the centre is the 'FEATURED BUSINESS'. In the past we had a monthly business of interest to moms and natural, such as, Terrific Teethers - Amber Teething necklaces (now on consignment at the centre), Love You Forever - children's accessories, Norwex - natural personal and household products and Uppercase Living - home decorative products. But now it seems to be WEEKLY and combined with our weekly 'Play Days'! Wednesday, January 25th Epicure is coming; Monday, January 30th Tupperware is coming and then Wednesday, February 8th is Steeped Tea. BUSY, BUSY! As I said, this is during our 'Play Days' so children are welcome and my own daughter will be attending as well. This is a great time to socialize with other moms, be entertained by a local business person and keep the kiddies occupied as well.

NOTE: If instructor is unable to teach, the class will be postponed at instructor's loss or money refunded for that class. If a client is unable to attend, it will unfortunately be at the client's loss. A friend may be able to take the client's place, registration and waiver still required.
HST is not included in class pricing and is now required to be charged.

Did you know...?
Most Yoga Instructors have 250 hours within their certification. I have 500 hours and most of the extra study hours was spent researching prenatal yoga poses and safety. Since graduation, however, my studies have continued to include postnatal/mom and baby yoga, yoga for certain ailments and even fertility. Be sure to let me know, either before a group session or before a private session, if you would like any of these things taken into consideration - for best possible results.

Here's a meditation that I recommended to a client and then used in one of my yoga classes, recently:
Inhale and think of your body breathing through the top of your head. Exhale and think of your body breathing out of the bottoms of your feet.
The longer you do it, the more relaxed and grounded you will feel. You can do it anywhere, anytime. Although, you might want to limit it while driving ;-)
